Bronte’s Rest has been thoughtfully renovated with William Morris wallpaper and rich Little Greene colours throughout, pairing artistic tones and patterns with original features to create a sense of timeless charm.
Perhaps more in-keeping with the Victorian aesthetic, Brass has been incorporated throughout the cottage, from Jim Lawrence door furniture to Laura Ashley lighting; Bronte’s boasts opulence.
Beyond the furnishings, Bronte’s Rest is an incredibly tranquil space, providing the perfect retreat for guests to relax by the log burner on wetter days or escape after a busy day of exploration, perhaps up to St Mary’s Church to visit Anne Bronte’s grave after which the property is named.
To ensure an unforgettable home away from home experience, the kitchen has been extremely well-equipped and the bar seating provides the perfect perch for cooking and chatting. The inviting lounge features a classic chesterfield sofa and Queen Anne wing-back chairs which surround the cosy log burner.
Both double bedrooms are situated on the first floor, featuring dark hardwood floors, panelling and ample storage for clothes and suitcases. Beds feature Hungarian goose down duvets, soft-touch linen and sumptuous mattresses selected for the perfect night's sleep.
Access to both the bathroom and private courtyard is just off the lounge on the ground floor. Wifi, toiletries, a washer/dryer, towels, hairdryer, iron and ironing board are all provided at Bronte’s. Guests can enjoy the entire home and private courtyard accessible via the backdoor on the ground floor.
